Limp Bizkit are an American nu-metal band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1994. The group's original lineup consisted of Fred Durst (vocals), Wes Borland (guitar), Sam Rivers (bass), and John Otto (drums). DJ Lethal later joined as the band's turntablist.
The band rose to fame in the late 1990s, blending heavy metal with elements of hip-hop, rap, and alternative rock. Their second album, Significant Other (1999), propelled them into mainstream success with hits like "Nookie" and "Break Stuff." This was followed by Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water (2000), which solidified their status with tracks like "My Way" and "Rollin'."
Limp Bizkit were often criticized for their aggressive style and Durst's outspoken persona, but they maintained a strong fanbase. They were a defining part of the nu-metal movement alongside bands like Korn and Linkin Park.
Despite lineup changes and a brief hiatus, Limp Bizkit continues to tour and release music, including their 2021 album Still Sucks. The band’s legacy lies in their ability to blend metal and hip-hop, creating a unique sound that resonated with a generation.
