Fontaines D.C. is an Irish post-punk band that was formed in Dublin in 2014. The band members include Grian Chatten (vocals), Carlos O'Connell (guitar), Conor Curley (guitar), Conor Deegan III (bass), and Tom Coll (drums). They are known for their raw and energetic live performances which incorporate a mix of punk rock, post-punk, and garage rock influences. The band has released multiple critically acclaimed albums and has received praise for their socially conscious and introspective lyrics.

Fontaines D.C. met while attending music college and bonded over a common love of poetry. The band started self-releasing singles and performing live regularly before signing to Partisan Records and releasing their debut album, "Dogrel", in 2019.
