Summer is a great time to visit, with sunny days meaning outdoor activities are in full swing, from the open-air theatre in Regent's Park to rooftop bars with skyline views. The best time to go out in London depends on the type of experience you're looking for, as the city’s nightlife has something for every mood and style. Early evening from 5pm-8pm is a good time for after-work drinks, happy hours and casual dinners, as well as catching a theatre performance from 7.30pm onwards. Prime nightlife hours take place from 8pm-11pm, whilst late night clubs are open from 11pm all the way through until dawn.

TFL offers tubes, buses and trains and the city is extremely well connected. Night tubes run on Fridays and Saturdays on the Victoria, Central, Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines. London Overground also runs 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays between New Cross Gate and Highbury & Islington. You can also hail a black taxi or call an Uber via the app on your phone.
