Get ready for one of the biggest musical parties of the summer! Greenwich Summer Sounds is the hottest new music event coming to London in 2024 for four days of festivities.

The festival is the latest endeavour of IMG, the minds behind many of London’s most fantastic events, such as Hampton Court Palace Festival, Taste of London and Hyde Park Winter Wonderland.

The 2024 Series will take place at the Old Royal Naval College, an extraordinary cultural destination in the heart of Maritime Greenwich, London. Over 4 nights, world-class artists will perform to 7,000 visitors against the stunning backdrop of London’s skyline at sunset.

The Greenwich Summer Sounds 2023 Series welcomed some of the biggest names in music to the historic venue location, including CHIC feat. Nile Rodgers for a 4th July exclusive London show, the iconic Tom Jones, the electric Black Eyed Peas and the riotous Kaiser Chiefs.

Greenwich Summer Sounds 2024 Lineup

The complete lineup for the Greenwich Summer Sounds 2024 Series has not yet been announced. However, previous acts included

Nile Rodgers & Chic - Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Nile Rodgers will open the show along with his band Chic. The American music mogul will hit the stage armed with his trusty ‘Hitmaker’ guitar for a night of soul, R&B and funk hits.

• Tom Jones - The legendary welsh singer will headline night two of the event. Sing and dance the night away, listening to blockbuster hits such as ‘Delilah’, ‘She’s A Lady’, ‘Sexbomb’ and ‘The Green, Green Grass of Home’.
• The Black Eyed Peas - Night three of Greenwich Summer Sounds will see the ever-electric Black Eyed Peas, featuring Will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo, take to the stage for a night of funky pop hits such as ‘Where Is The Love’, ‘Let’s Get It Started’ and ‘I Gotta Feeling’.
• Kaiser Chiefs - Closing the show is indie rock renegades Kaiser Chiefs, who will no doubt whip the crowd into a frenzy with raucous hits such as ‘I Predict a Riot’ and ‘Ruby’.

Greenwich Summer Sounds Venue History

The Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London, is a stunning example of Baroque architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Originally built as the Royal Hospital for Seamen in the late 17th century, it was later converted into a naval college in the 19th century.

The site's centrepiece is the magnificent Painted Hall, adorned with intricate paintings and considered one of the most spectacular dining halls in the world. The Chapel of St. Peter and St. Paul is another highlight, featuring stunning Baroque architecture and a beautiful organ.

The Old Royal Naval College grounds include beautifully landscaped gardens and several museums, including the Discover Greenwich Visitor Centre and the Wren Library. The site also offers regular tours and events, including concerts and exhibitions.
