After a long 15-year wait, the highly anticipated Oasis reunion is finally coming. The feuding Gallagher brothers are finally ready to bury the hatchet and bring their iconic rock n roll band back to the stage in 2025.
In the years since the band's emphatic break up, midway through their ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ tour in 2009, Liam expressed interest in reuniting with his former bandmates and brother. However, Noel has repeatedly declined the offer, leaving the possibility of a reunion in limbo.
Recently, Noel's stance appears to have shifted, leading fans of the band to speculate that a reunion may be on the horizon. The excitement began to build at the end of March when Noel was asked about Liam's tweet regarding an Oasis reunion during an interview with France Inter. In response, Noel encouraged Liam to contact him and suggested they discuss the possibility of a reunion.
Since then, reports have circulated that the brothers have arranged to meet privately to resolve their differences.
So get ready Oasis fans, one of the biggest bands ever to come out of the UK is confirmed to be back to continue their rock n roll legacy.
Oasis completed their final tour in 2009, which saw the band perform on stages across the world as part of their 'Dig Out Your Soul' tour, in support of their seventh studio album. This highly anticipated tour marked their return to live performances after a three-year break, and they performed at some of the biggest arenas around the world, over the course of six months.
The 'Dig Out Your Soul' tour showcased a new creative direction for the band, with an experimental sound that incorporated electronic and psychedelic elements. Oasis' live shows during the tour were incredibly energetic, featuring a mix of classic hits and newer material. However, the tour is now remembered as the band's final tour before their eventual breakup.
It would be near impossible to predict the set list and stage production for the Oasis reunion tour, as there are many different directions the band could take. However, when Oasis embark on their reunion tour, fans can expect a setlist that draws from the band's extensive back catalogue of classic hits and beloved album tracks, including their iconic album 'What's the Story (Morning Glory)'.
With Liam’s recent Twitter announcement, the setlist sounds like it will include their original and world-renowned album ‘Definitely Maybe’ from start to finish. ‘Definitely Maybe’ includes fan favourites such as ‘Live Forever’, ‘Supersonic’ and ‘Cigarettes and Alcohol’. This would definitely be an unforgettable performance for fans.
In terms of production, the reunion tour could possibly see Oasis return to their roots with a stripped-down, no-frills approach, or they could incorporate new visual and lighting elements to enhance the live experience. Regardless of the production, the Oasis reunion tour will is a much-anticipated event for fans of the legendary British rock band.
