Global popstar P!NK is due to play two packed out shows at the Stadium of Light in June this year, as part of her blockbuster new European tour “P!nk Summer Carnival 2023”.

The new tour comes off the back of a three-year hiatus for the singer, since her “Beautiful Trauma” world tour in 2019, on which she played 160 dates at 110 venues.
The tour sold 3,104,344 tickets and grossed £397,300,000, making it the second highest grossing tour of all time by a female solo artist and the eleventh highest grossing tour of all time.

Bon Jovi
In November last year, multi-platinum selling rockstars Bon Jovi announced that they would be embarking on an Autumn tour around the US, with dates from April 1st to April 30th.
Based on last year, it is speculated that the ‘You Give Love a Bad Name’ singers could potentially announce a 2023 Autumn UK tour in the coming weeks. Could they include a date at one of Northern England's hottest music venues?
The New Jersey outfit previously played at the Stadium of Light in 2013, on their “Because We Can” tour. The band haven't toured the UK since their “This House is Not for Sale” tour, so a new visit to the UK is long overdue.
There is currently no announcement of a Bon Jovi UK tour, but new dates could potentially be announced very soon.

Back in 2018, Tay Tay brought her 'Reputation' tour to London, Manchester and Dublin for one night only.
Since then, her only UK concert appearances are at the 2019 Jingle Bell Ball and a surprise appearance at a London HAIM show in 2022.
Swift is one of the bestselling musicians of all time, selling over 200 million albums worldwide. UK fans of the singer have been deprived of any live shows for almost four years.
However, with the singer announcing a new US tour for 2023 and confirming that UK dates will be announced shortly, could the Stadium of Light be one of the venues to host the music superstar when she brings her ‘The Eras’ tour overseas?

Drizzy hasn't visited British shores since his ‘Assassination Vacation Tour’ in 2019, so another UK tour is long overdue.
The ‘Hotline Bling’ singer hit arenas across the country, including two nights in Manchester, Three nights in Birmingham and six nights in London, as he literally ‘turned the O2 into the O3’.
Now, after an almost five year hiatus from touring, rumours have begun to swirl that ‘ChampagnePapi’ could be about to hit the road on a blockbuster co-headline tour with fellow rapper 21 Savage, after the release of their 2022 joint album ‘Her Loss’.
After bringing 21 Savage out at one of his recent sets at the Apollo Theatre, New York City, the rapper told the crowd that he would be going on tour in the summer of 2023.
According to Variety Drake stated “We're gonna be out on the road this summer”, all but confirming a string of gigs across the second half of the year.
Although Drake has played at mostly arenas in the past, The Stadium of Light would be an ideal location for Drizzy as it is one of northern England's biggest and best music venues.

The Missouri-born rapper's last show in the UK came as part of his ‘Revival Tour’ in 2018, when he played one massive gig at London's Twickenham Stadium.
Since his single UK show in 2018, the rapper has released two studio albums, one in 2018 and one in 2020. However, UK fans of the ‘Lose Yourself’ singer have now been left waiting for almost six years to see him live again.
In recent months rumours have begun to emerge that ‘Slim Shady’ is in advanced talks to headline Glastonbury Festival’s iconic Pyramid Stage in 2023, with the likelihood that a full UK tour could also follow.
Should the rapper, real name Marshall Mathers, announce a UK tour he could no doubt sell out of some of the biggest stadiums and arenas across the country. His last few shows on British soil have all been huge stadium shows.
The Stadium of Light has the capacity and facilities to accommodate an artist of Eminem's calibre, so the venue could be a potential choice for the rapper.

Metal pioneers Metallica have recently announced a twenty date European tour in support of their upcoming new album ‘72 Seasons’, the only problem is that there are no UK shows!
The bands only scheduled gigs in the UK this year are two consecutive headline sets at Download Festival 2023. However, fans are still holding out hope that the ‘Enter Sandman’ rockers will announce some more shows on British soil.
The band’s last tour in the UK came as part of their ‘Worldwired Tour’ in 2019, when they hit the Etihad Stadium, Twickenham Stadium, Slane Castle and the O2 Arena for some massive heavy metal extravaganzas.
Fans of the band have been left waiting for almost five years for more head banging action, and are keen to see the ‘Unforgiven’ singers live in the flesh again.
Metallica have a particular love of open air venues and have been known to play some of the biggest stadiums and festivals around the world. So should they announce any new UK tour dates in 2023, the Stadium of Light would definitely be on their radar.
