The last Spice Girls reunion tour was in 2019. The band took their 'Spice World' tour on the road, hitting stadiums across the UK.
Unfortunately, the hit-makers could not convince Victoria Beckham to join them on tour as Posh Spice decided to focus on her businesses and family rather than perform alongside her bandmates.
However, fans were delighted to see the band perform their most popular songs and deliver some of their most iconic outfits, including Mel B’s staple leopard jumpsuit and Geri’s Union Jack dress!
The 2019 tour was a major success and even saw a couple of famous faces in the crowd, including Spice Girl superfan Adele.
But since then, things have been pretty quiet on the Spice Girls front.
When did the Spice Girls last release music?
The Spice Girls have released three studio albums since they formed in 1994 but have not produced new music since 2007 when they produced ‘Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)', released from their 'Greatest Hits' album.
With such a successful discography including hits such as ‘Wannabe’ and ‘2 Become 1’, the band have sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
When the band began their hiatus in 2000, Scary, Baby, Ginger, and Sporty Spice continued solo careers and each had UK top ten singles.
It is no surprise that fans have continued to support the band despite their lack of new releases, as their iconic tracks moulded the 90s pop landscape and have maintained their popularity decades on.
Are the Spice Girls touring in 2025?
With 2024 the group's 30th anniversary, the rumour mill is rife that the girls could soon announce a Spice Girls tour 2025.
Nothing has been confirmed yet, but the excitement of fans was stoked back in April when the girls got together at Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday bash to do a rendition of 'Stop', posted to social media by David Beckham.
Speaking to Variety, David said, “There’s nothing more that I’d like to see than the girls on stage again, so I’ll still work at it, don’t worry!” The pressure's on you, Becks!
A huge question is if Victoria Beckham could join the band for a Spice Girls 2025 tour. She last performed with the girls at the 2012 London Olympic opening ceremony, but has been absent on stage since then.
Where could the Spice Girls tour?
In 2019, the band completed a 13-date UK stadium tour of venues in Dublin, Cardiff, Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol and London.
The Spice Girls have not announced any specific UK tour dates yet, but we speculate that they would play similar venues if they do tour in 2025.
Our prediction is that the band will be performing at various arenas in cities like London, Birmingham, and Manchester if Spice Girls tour dates are announced.
