Last year it was announced that Rock N Roll Circus would be heading to a new location - the Don Valley Bowl in Sheffield for three nights of music and entertainment, and it did not disappoint.

What happened at Rock N Roll Circus 2023?

The three-day festival took over the iconic Don Valley Bowl back in September to delight fans with incredible live music and mesmerising circus performances. The event was a raging success, leaving the fans in attendance wanting more.

The event has been labelled as a ‘Masterstroke’, as its innovative blend of music and circus treated fans to a fantastically unique spectacle and made for a truly special experience.

The festival line-up was a real treat for fans of indie rock, pop and dance music, as some of the UK's most popular acts took to the stage across the weekend.

The first night's festivities were opened up by indie act Somebody's Child (the stage name of Cian Godrey), before handing over to Welsh rockers The Joy Formidable.

The Cribs captivated the audience as they took to the stage, igniting a passionate frenzy among the crowd. Following their magnetic performance, the renowned Happy Mondays, beloved figures of the Madchester era, infused Sheffield with their distinctive Britpop sound, amplifying the atmosphere. Delivering a set full of timeless classics like 'Kinky Afro' and '24 Hour Party People,' they left an indelible mark on the night.

Noel Gallagher commanded the stage as he led his High Flying Birds through an unforgettable headline set. Showcasing a repertoire of timeless hits, Gallagher and his band delighted the audience with a captivating blend of their acclaimed tracks and crowd-pleasing Oasis classics.

The second night featured even more indie and pop heavyweights with Arctic Monkeys cover band, Arctic Numpties, opening the show, followed by Bamini and Natalie Imbruglia. Later in the night, Aussie intro electro outfit Confidence Man produced a trademark all-timer performance before bowing out for pop superstar Self Esteem to close the festival off in style.      

Gatecrasher Classical marked its triumphant third night by commemorating three decades of incredible dance tracks.

In between the sets of these incredible artists, the fans were treated to stunts from aerialists, fire dancers and stilt walkers just to name a few, meaning that there was no downtime in between shows.

Rock N Roll Circus will stay situated in the north of the UK in 2024, as the next instalment of the highly anticipated event is scheduled to return to Don Valley Bowl, Sheffield.

The 2024 event is set to be the final big outdoor bash of the summer, taking place from 30th August - 1st September.

The acts for the Friday and Saturday night have officially been announced!

Dance-pop princess Becky Hill is set to make her debut headline appearance on Friday 30th August, the opening night of the weekend alongside Joel Correy, Issey Cross, Talia Mar, and ADMT.

Prepare for an unparalleled indie rock extravaganza on Saturday 31st August, as the Sheffield-based sensations Milburn take the headline spot. Joining them in this unforgettable night of music will be the talented artists Jake Bugg, The Selecter, The Rifles, Seb Lowe, Gia Ford, and an array of other incredible acts that will soon be unveiled!
