The Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) has revealed that the newest addition to their array of premium facilities takes a fresh and exciting approach, by putting a spin on traditional rugby hospitality.

What is the Riverside Terrace?

The Riverside Terrace was created to fill a gap in the rugby hospitality sphere, adopting a fresh outlook on what it is that the fan wants to experience on a matchday.

While it still encompasses the premium feel that you would expect with a hospitality package, the Riverside Terrace moves away from traditional suite design by utilising relaxed hospitality in an industrial-style setting.

What can you expect from a matchday experience at the Riverside Terrace?

In this brand new 410 sqm space overlooking Cardiff’s river bank, you will find yourself immersed in a trendy upbeat setting with live music and a delicious street food menu.

The motivation behind the suite was to bring in more of what the city has to offer. A WRU spokesperson stated that “the street food scene in Cardiff is huge, and we have some very talented chefs in Wales. Our Head Chef Ryan Jones has worked alongside each vendor to develop an exclusive menu for each match.”

The suite will house four of the capital’s most exciting upcoming street food kitchens during the Autumn Nations Series. Tokyo Nights, Dirty Gnocchi, Mr Croquewich and Keralan Karavan will each present a stunning exclusive two-course menu for each match of the season.

As well as delivering exquisitely tasty food, in the Riverside Terrace, you will also enjoy VIP early entry, bar access within the suite, a relaxed private table for groups of 2, 4 or 6 and a matchday programme.

And if that wasn’t enough, you will experience unrivalled views of the fixture from your mid-tier halfway-line seat.

WRU stated that the suite is designed for “those looking for an alternative to the traditional Welsh rugby experience", meaning that this “entry-level hospitality package” is perfect for those who want to enjoy a more relaxed and modern hospitality experience.
