For years Bad Girl RiRi has teased fans of the release of her next album 'R9'. The star has not released an album since 2016 with 'ANTI', and while this record has remained in the Top 200 Billboard Albums ever since, fans are desperate for new content from the singer.
In her latest interview with Vogue, the publication revealed that the Bajan singer has recently registered a new song called 'Private Loving' to a music rights. They also confirmed that Rihanna has been struggling to develop a fitting name for her album as the Navy- her die-hard fan base- have titled her ninth studio 'R9' for years now.
Although we don't know when the new album will drop, the star has just released her first track in years for the 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' soundtrack. The song titled 'Lift Me Up' was released on October 26th and features beautiful vocals against string instrumentals.
The singer has also recently been spotted at recording studios and with the announcement of her headline show at the Super Bowl, we anticipate that we will finally see RiRi's full-scale comeback to music soon.
Is Rihanna going on tour?
Rihanna has not completed a tour since her worldwide 'ANTI tour' in 2016. The star has completed a small number of performance since then, but she is yet to head out on a wide scale set of shows.
If she does release a new album, we predict that Rihanna will shortly follow up with a supporting tour.
As a new mum, RiRi may wait a bit longer than usual to head out on tour, or could bring partner A$AP Rocky along with her.
Where will Rihanna go on tour?
Although future Rihanna tour dates and venues are not yet confirmed, it is expected that the 'Good Girl Gone Bad' will complete a full-scale world tour after her long hiatus from the stage.
If she heads to the UK, the 'SOS' singer is likely to hit up some of the largest stadium venues such as:
- The O2 Arena, London
- London Stadium, London
- Principality Stadium, Cardiff
- BT Murrayfield, Edingburgh
- Aviva Stadium, Dublin
