5. Santillana

Goals: 290

Santillana was a striker for Real Madrid, joining the football club in 1971 and retiring in 1988. Despite this, he still remains one of the all-time highest goalscorers for the team with 290 goals over 645 total matches. During this time he represented Spain in two World Cups and two European Championships, and was best known for his exceptional heading ability.

4. Alfredo Di Stéfano

Goals: 308

Di Stéfano was instrumental in Real Madrid’s domination of the European Cup and La Liga in the 1950s and 60s, and his talent is obvious due to him remaining in the top five goalscorers the club has ever had. During his 11 years at Real Madrid, he helped the club win many trophies including five consecutive Champions Cups, where he scored in every final.

3. Raúl

Goals: 323

Known mononymously as Raúl, Raúl González Blanco played for Real Madrid from 1994 to 2010. He started out playing for the Real Madrid C team at just 17 years old, and is now the manager of the Real Madrid Castilla reserve team. Raúl made over 1000 appearances in his career, leading to a grand total of 323 goals and a reputation as one of the best forwards of all time.

2. Karim Benzema

Goals: 354

Despite being a French footballer and starting out his career with local club Lyon, Benzema has achieved the most success with Real Madrid. He is their second-best goalscorer and top assist, known for his creative and technical skills as a striker. Benzema is the fifth French player to win the Ballon d'Or, and is still one of the highest-paid footballers in the world as of 2024.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo

Goals: 450

Cristiano Ronaldo is a name anyone will recognise, as he is not only Real Madrid’s top goalscorer of all time but one of the greatest football players ever. Playing for the Spanish team from 2015 to 2018, one of his most notable goals was against Juventus in the 2017/18 Champions League quarter-final, where he scored with a breathtaking acrobatic bicycle kick that got his foot 7ft off the ground.
