Following Jarvis Cocker’s announcement of a Pulp reunion tour in 2023, we discuss whether new dates and venues will be added. Plus, we explain how you can register your interest in VIP tickets to see the legendary Britpop band with Seat Unique.
Britpop pioneers Pulp formed in 1978 in Sheffield and were notorious for their British cultural spin on disco-influenced pop rock. The band rose to prominence in the 1990s and are considered one of the ‘Big Four’ of Britpop, alongside Oasis, Blur and Suede.
The band called it quits in 2002, before reuniting for 2 years between 2011 and 2013, but have been completely inactive since. Their last performance took place in February 2013 on the Jonathan Ross Show.
However, iconic frontman Jarvis Cocker has recently sent fans into a frenzy by announcing that the band will reform for a second time to play a series of shows in 2023.
We take a look at the venues Pulp will perform at, discuss the possibility of the band adding more dates, and explain how you can be the first to know about VIP tickets.

Pulp's last tour was their reunion tour in 2011, which ran until February 2013. The band announced that their original lineup, from their first two albums ‘His ‘n’ Hers’ and ‘Different Class’ which produced cult classics such as ‘Common People’, would be touring. Cocker also stated that the tour was inspired by a large amount of interest in the band reforming.
The tour started with the band playing two headline sets at Wireless Festival and Isle of Wight Festival. The tour also included a performance at Coachella, as well as two headline appearances at Reading and Leeds festival and a surprise appearance at Glastonbury Festival.
The tour ended with a huge hometown gig at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena and an appearance on the Jonathan Ross Show to promote the previously unreleased track, ‘After You’.
Are Pulp releasing any new music?
News of Pulp's return has got fans of the band dreaming that a new album could accompany the tour, but will the Sheffield-born band release some new music in 2023? Nobody knows as of yet.
The band's last new music release was in 2013 when they released the previously unreleased track, ‘After You’, at the end of their reunion tour. However, the band hasn't released a new album since ‘We Love Life’ in 2001.
While there has been no announcement of any new music at the minute, Pulp’s reunion has given fans hope that new music could be released in the future.
Will Pulp tour in 2023?
With the recent announcements from frontman Cocker, we can be certain that a blockbuster Pulp tour will be taking place in 2023. On their last tour, Pulp played mainly at festivals, but their last show was an arena gig.
The tour will start in May and end in July. Here are the venues where they will play in 2023:
- Bridlington Spa - Bridlington - 26/05

- St Annes Park - Dublin - 09/06
- Finsbury Park - London - 01/07

- Open Air Theatre - Scarborough - 09/07
- International Arena - Cardiff - 11/07
- Utilita Arena - Sheffield - 14/07 & 15/07

Due to Pulp being a hugely popular band in the UK, we expect that more dates could be added due to popular demand. Here are some venues that could be added to the tour:
Based on Pulp's past touring history, it would be safe to assume that they would opt for an arena/festival tour circuit instead of stadiums. These are just a few that we think they could play at.
