Post Malone Most Impressive Facts & Stats

Holds the record for Most Diamond-Certified Songs

Perhaps Post Malone’s most impressive achievement, he holds the RIAA record for Artist with the Most Diamond-Certified Songs. That’s a total of nine Diamond-certified songs, from ‘Congratulations’ to his debut single, ‘White Iverson.’ His megahit ‘Sunflower’ is also the highest certified Diamond single, going 20x Platinum.

To celebrate this overwhelming success, Post Malone released The Diamond Collection in 2023, a compilation album of all of his diamond-certified songs.

Began making music at 16

Post Malone released his first mixtape when he was only 16, having already chosen his current stage name via a rap name generator. The mixtape, called Young and After Them Riches, was made on Audacity, a free audio editing software.

Posty’s raw talent and thirst even at the age of 16 has made him into the incredible artist he is today, as it is clear he has always had a genuine love of music.

11 Billboard Music Awards

The rapper has also nominated and won a number of awards over his career. This includes 11 Billboard Music Awards, which makes sense given the amount of streaming records he has set. Some of the awards he has won are Top Artist, Top Rap Tour, Top Rap Album, and many more.

Among many other accolades, Post Malone has also been nominated for 18 Grammy Awards, however, he has not won one yet. We’re sure the recognition is coming soon, as his albums are consistently praised by fans and critics.

Has over 70 tattoos

It’s hard to miss Post Malone’s tattoos when you first look at him, as they cover his face, neck, and much of the rest of his body. They are incredibly recognisable, from the barbed wire on his forehead to “always tired” written under his eyes. As of 2023 he has said he has over 70 tattoos, but it definitely could be more by now!

47 billion total Spotify streams

An achievement that is synonymous with Post Malone as an artist is his staggering number of Spotify streams. His Spotify streams in total are 47 billion, with ‘Sunflower’ holding 3.6 billion and ‘rockstar’ holding 3.1 billion. He remains one of the most-streamed artists of all time, and ‘Sunflower’ is still the most-streamed hip-hop song on Spotify.

Is a talented guitarist

The rapper’s music career could’ve gone in a very different direction,as he began as a guitarist, having learned because of his love of the video game Guitar Hero. He even auditioned for the band Crown The Empire in 2010, but in a twist of fate his guitar string broke during the audition.

In a way it was a good thing it did, as instead of joining the band, Post Malone began making his own music and the rest is history. His guitar skills still feature on much of his music, especially in his most recent country album.

Had a chart-topping debut album

Post Malone’s debut album Stoney was an immediate success. A month after the release of his debut single ‘White Iverson,’ the music video had received one million views. Then he captured everyone’s attention with the release of Stoney, which debuted at number six on the Billboard Charts, an incredible achievement for his first album.

As if that wasn’t impressive enough, Stoney spent 77 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard charts, breaking a record set by Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Since 2021, it has been certified 5x platinum, proving just how influential Post Malone has been since the start of his career.

Plays sold-out tours

Post Malone has been on many concert tours over the years, each more successful than the last. For example, his Twelve Carat tour in 2022/2023 included 63 performances across 3 tour legs and took in a total of $93,739,349 in box office earnings. 726, 693 tickets were sold for all nights, an impressive feat.
