No. 7: ‘rockstar’ with 21 Savage

This track by the two rappers is from Post Malone’s very successful album Beerbongs & Bentleys, and managed to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It remains one of Post Malone and 21 savage’s most popular songs, and was even nominated for two Grammys in 2019. 

The music video for the song is awesome, with Post Malone and 21 Savage dressed as samurai warriors, fighting a gang of men and ending up covered in blood. The video is clearly inspired by old Japanese samurai movies, and it's not wonder it has one billion views.

No. 6: ‘Wolves’ with Big Sean

‘Wolves’ is for sure a motivational song, with Big Sean rapping about overcoming obstacles and hardships while being part of a team, like a pack of wolves. Post Malone joins in with his verse as he raps about paying his dues and collecting scars while rising to the top. The song also contains additional vocals from A$AP Rocky.

No. 5: ‘Fortnight’ with Post Malone

For many, Post Malone and Taylor Swift might seem like an unlikely match of vocals, but many critics and fans alike praised ‘Fortnight’ for how well the two singers’ voices mix together so well. From Taylor Swift’s most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, ‘Fortnight' was nominated for two Grammys and peaked at the top of the Billboard charts. 

The song is a synth-heavy, 1980s inspired ballad about a sordid affair between two ex-lovers. In the music video these lovers are played by Taylor and Posty, and the video adds to the melodramatic vibe they create with the song. 

No. 4: ‘LEVII’S JEANS’ with Beyoncé

Beyoncé has had an incredible year with her album Cowboy Carter finally winning her the Album of the Year Grammy she’s been after for so long. One of the standout tracks on the album is ‘LEVII’S JEANS’ featuring Post Malone, which works well considering both artists have recently released country albums.

The song's title pays homage to Levi Strauss & Co., a brand that supported Destiny's Child early in their career. The lyrics are playful and flirtatious, with Beyoncé singing about attraction and intimacy, while Post Malone contributes with his signature style.

No. 3: ‘I Like You (A Happier Song)’ with Doja Cat

‘I Like You (Happier Song)’ is from Post Malone’s Twelve Carat Toothache album, and has a lot more positive tone than many of Post Malone’s other singles at the time. With a pop rap and R&B vibe, of course the song did well on the charts and was nominated for a Grammy, this is Post and Doja Cat after all!

Collaborating with Doja Cat, who is often known for having a playful and lighthearted vibe in her songs, added a new facet to Post Malone’s discography amongst his darker, moodier themes. The brightly coloured and positive music video matches the positive vibe.

From the soundtrack of the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film, ‘Sunflower’ rose to massive popularity on streaming services, and remains one of the most-streamed songs of all time. The lyrics of ‘Sunflower’ are smooth and catchy, blending romantic and carefree sentiments. The "sunflower" metaphor comes in to symbolise beauty and positivity, despite challenges.

‘Dial Drunk’ is a song that is a lot more in Post Malone’s wheelhouse, it’s almost as if he could have written it instead of singer Noah Kahan. The lyrics are about driving drunk, feeling regret over a failed past relationship, and turning to alcohol to numb the pain. Not exactly a happy song, but this is Post Malone’s bread and butter.
