Post Malone’s Albums Ranked

No. 6: ‘AUSTIN’

AUSTIN is Post Malone’s fifth album, and by this stage he branched out from his usual hip-hop sound to include more synth pop, soft and alternative rock influences. Austin is Post Malone’s birth name, and it is clear that he intended for this album to reflect him as a person, as it is his only album to not have any guest features.

The album is melodic and heartfelt, and for that reason it stands out from the rest of his discography. Despite how different the album is however, it still charted well across multiple countries with successful singles like ‘Chemical’ and ‘Overdrive.’

No. 5: ‘F-1 Trillion’

Post Malone’s most recent record, F-1 Trillion is a country album, again straying away from the pop rap sound he is most recognisable for. It paid off however, as the album debuted atop the Billboard 200 and UK charts and has received positive reviews from both critics and fans alike.

The trend of artists venturing into country music overlapped when in 2024 Beyoncé released her country album Cowboy Carter, with a feature from Post Malone on the song ‘Levii’s Jeans.’ Not to mention the countless country star features on F-1 Trillion, Post Malone clearly didn’t make the album half-heartedly and set out to make a record that truly paid homage to the genre.

No. 4: ‘Twelve Carat Toothache’

Twelve Carat Toothache has elements of R&B, pop rap, and dance-pop, showing off Post Malone’s rap ability and smooth vocals. As can be expected with Posty’s records, the album debuted at number two on the charts and did incredibly well worldwide.

While features from artists such as Doja Cat and The Weeknd set this album up to win, many fans felt that it didn’t have the same staying power as Post Malone’s previous works. For many though, it remains a hidden favourite with songs like ‘I Like You (A Happier Song)’ and ‘One Right Now.’

No. 3: ‘Stoney’

Stoney is Post Malone’s debut album and remains divisive among fans, with many either loving it or believing it to be Posty before he found his groove. The album has the hip-hop and trap sound that he has become most known for, but as always has influences of other genres such as pop, R&B and country.

The lyrical themes of the album are also more typical of the rap and hip-hop genres, with songs about money, women, drugs, and living in luxury. Post Malone’s debut single ‘White Iverson’ became his breakout song, and as his career progressed the rapper began to break out of the confines of the genre.

No. 2: ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’

Hollywood’s Bleeding could be described as Post Malone’s most commercially successful album, with a huge host of megastar features and the inclusion of his massive hit Sunflower from the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack. The album is certified platinum in 11 different countries, and was nominated for the Album of the Year Grammy.

This album is clear evidence of how talented Post Malone is at creating hits, with catchy hooks and choruses that you can just imagine playing in a stadium. Every song on the album is number-one material, and Posty is well aware given the braggadocious lyrics in many of the songs.

No. 1: ‘beerbongs & bentleys’

beerbongs & bentleys is a fan favourite album, despite its mixed critical reviews. It solidified Post Malone’s place in mainstream music, with hit singles like ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Better Now’ doing incredibly well on charts and streaming platforms, and marked his entry into the spotlight.

Featuring a mix of hip-hop, rock, and pop influences, it highlights his laid-back yet introspective style. The lyrics, while including many popular tropes from rap and hip-hop music, do also reflect on fame, relationships, and personal struggles. As a fan it must have been exciting to watch Post Malone bloom at this time, so no wonder so many hold it in such high regard.
