The comedian has been on his 'Better Late Than Never' tour since 2022 - and it's a record-breaker, as he recently performed his 100th show at the AO Arena in Manchester.

And now, the comedian has announced a welcome extension to the Peter Kay tour in 2025 and 2026, adding a surprise 22 new dates.

He made the announcement during an ad break on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here', thrilling fans.

When was Peter Kay’s last tour?

The comedian has been on his current Peter Kay UK tour dates since 2022, and it's certainly been a successful one.

Before this, he planned a 2018/2019 tour called 'Have Gags, Will Travel', but all 90 dates were cancelled due to personal reasons. The comedian was much missed from the comedy scene during this time, although he made some smaller appearances.

Kay notably sold out two live shows at the Manchester Apollo to raise money for Laura Nuttall and the Brain Tumour Charity, where the comic received a standing ovation from the thousands in attendance.

In 2022, the Phoenix Nights and Peter Kay's Car Share star made a rare public appearance with a handful of danceathon shows for his ‘Dance for Life’ charity events to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Peter Kay’s last full tour before his current one was titled ‘The Tour That Doesn't Tour Tour...Now On Tour’, which included 112 shows that ran from April 2010 to October 2011.

The expansive comedy tour saw Kay visit 12 venues across the UK. As a result, he broke records to be the fastest-selling comedy act in Britain at the time.

As part of the tour, Kay played 20 consecutive shows at Manchester Arena, breaking the venue’s records for the most consecutive performances by a comic ever.

He also performed a record-breaking 15 shows at London O2 Arena, which is also the most shows performed by any comedian at this venue.
