Historical Information:
Nottingham Forest have been playing at The City Ground since 3rd September 1898. The Ground was named after Nottingham’s new promotion to city status. On 24th August 1968, a fire broke out near the dressing room and tore through the Main Stand. The stand had only been developed three years prior in 1965. The fire started during a division one match against Leeds United. Despite over 30,000 fans sitting in the stand, there were no casualties.
