The MTV EMAs 2024 is set to be the event of the season, bringing together global icons in music, spectacular performances, and distinguished awards, all happening at the UKs only music-first arena, Manchester's Co-op Live.

This year's line-up includes rising stars like Benson Boone and Raye, along with fan favourite Shawn Mendes. Hosted by the infectious Rita Ora, the event marks her third time hosting.

Who is performing at the 2024 MTV EMAs?

Benson Boone

Benson Boone is an American singer-songwriter who rose to fame after his appearance on the 19th season of American Idol. Following his success on the show he signed a record deal with Night Street Records.

His debut single Ghost Town, gained widespread popularity charting in 13 countries. In May 2024, Taylor Swift announced that Boone, alongside Paramore, would join her as supporting acts for her show at Wembley Stadium.

RAYE

RAYE is a British singer-songwriter and producer who gained recognition with hits like You Don’t Know Me and Secrets. 

She broke into the music scene in 2023 with her acclaimed solo album 21st Century Blues, which later won Album of the Year at the 2024 Brit Awards. This album marked her evolution as an independent artist, cementing her place as an influential voice in modern pop. 

Teddy Swims

Teddy Swims, born Jaten Dimsdale, began his music career on YouTube, where he performed covers of popular songs. His breakthrough single Lose Control, topped the Billboard Hot 100 on 30th March 2024. Since then Teddy Swims has had a successful year - including a set at Reading Festival as well as announcing UK Tour dates in 2025, and now the MTV EMA'S 2024!

In September 2024, Teddy Swims announced that Part 2 of his debut album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy, will be released on 24th January 2025. 

Shawn Mendes

Shawn Mendes began his career on popular social media app Vine before attracting the attention of music manager Andrew Gertler and Island Records in 2013. His debut studio album, Handwritten, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. 

Mendes has since received three Grammy Award nominations, ten Europe MTV Music awards and eight iHeartRadio MMVAs. He was also named one of the 100 most influential people in the world on Time magazine’s annual list. 

The Warning

The Warning is a Mexican band originally from Monterrey, Mexico, formed by the Villarreal Vélez sisters in 2013. They have released four studio albums, the latest being Keep Me Fed, released in June 2024.

Earlier this year, they announced European and UK tour dates for 2025, with stops in Paris, London, Madrid, and Germany. In November, they will perform in the UK for the third time this year at the MTV EMAs.

Who is presenting the MTV EMAs 2024

Rita Ora will be returning to the stage as the official host of the MTV EMAs this November at Co-op Live. This will be the third time she has hosted the event, making her the event's first three-time host. Known for her vibrant personality and bold stage presence, Ora is set to bring the energy to the evening's celebration. 

Where is the MTV EMAs 2024

The MTV EMAs will be held at Co-op Live, Manchester, the UK’s only music-first arena. The MTV Europe Music Awards are awards presented by Paramount International Networks to celebrate artists and music in pop culture. Last years EMAs due to take place in Paris were cancelled and so this years event will be the first since 2022.
