American pop-rock band Maroon 5 have recently announced they will be performing at Resorts World Arena, Birmingham as part of their 2023 world tour.
Since their conception in 1994, the band has gone on to have fantastic commercial success, selling over 135 million records worldwide and producing hits like ‘Sugar’ and ‘Moves Like Jagger’.
In November 2019, the LA outfit announced that they would be embarking on a nine-leg world tour consisting of over 70 shows. The tour was postponed after the first leg due to the Covid-19 pandemic and rescheduled for 2021 in support of the band's new album ‘Jordi’.
The band later announced more new dates in Asia, Latin America, Africa and Europe that would take the tour into 2023, with the last show being in Las Vegas on the 12th of August.
Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about Maroon 5’s new UK tour dates and how you can secure VIP tickets to see them live.
Buy Maroon 5 hospitality ticketsAre Maroon 5 releasing new music?
Maroon 5’s last musical release came two years ago in the shape of their seventh studio album ‘Jordi’.
The album featured guest appearances from Megan Thee Stallion, BlackBear, Stevie Nicks, Bantu, H.E.R., YG, Juice WRLD and Nipsey Hussle. While the record received mixed reviews from critics, the album track “Memories” went on to become a global hit, peaking at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.
At present, it doesn't seem as though the band is working on new music, which is to be expected, as they are currently travelling around the globe on an almost three-year-long world tour.
There has been a three-year hiatus between all of their last three album releases, so it's possible that the band will start working on a new project in 2023, once their tour has finished.
Maroon 5 concerts: where and when will they play in 2023?
By the time it's finished, Maroon 5’s world tour will have spanned for almost 4 years, with the band playing over 80 dates across the globe in that time.
On the European leg of the tour, the band will play a series of gigs across the continent, finishing in London and stopping in Portugal, Spain, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Netherlands, Germany and France along the way.
The UK dates on Maroon 5’s tour are as follows:
- The O2 Arena, London - 3rd July 2023
- Resorts World Arena, Birmingham - 4th July 2023
With all of the recent additions to the tour schedule, there is speculation that even more dates could be announced in the future. Here are some of the venues we predict could be added to Maroon 5’s current UK tour schedule:
- AO Arena, Manchester
- Utilita Arena, Birmingham
- Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham
Who is supporting Maroon 5 on tour?
For the band's original 2019 tour, the supporting artists were Megan Trainor and Leon Bridges. However, after the tour's postponement, the artists were changed to DJ Noah Passovoy, BlackBear and Ava Max.
There has been no official announcement of any supporting acts for the band’s new European leg of the tour. However, DJ Passovoy has been a constant for the majority of the shows so far, so it is highly likely that he will be accompanying the band at their UK shows.
