Manchester City's initial major honour was the FA Cup, secured in 1904. Notably, this victory predates the first FA Cup wins for several other prominent Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool.
Following their initial victory, Manchester City continued to be a major presence in the FA Cup. In 1934, they lifted the trophy for the second time, beating Portsmouth in the final. This win was particularly sweet for City fans, as it came during a period of relative struggle for the club. The FA Cup provided a welcome distraction and a moment of glory for the supporters to remember.

The 2011 triumph, in particular, was a watershed moment for the club, as it ended a 35-year trophy drought and signalled the beginning of a new era of success under manager Roberto Mancini. The Citizens defeated Stoke City 1-0 in the final.
The club made history once again in 2019 when they defeated Watford 6-0 in the final, which is tied for the largest victory in FA Cup final history.
Manchester City also reigned supreme throughout the 2022/2023 season, winning the historic treble: their third consecutive Premier League title, the Champions League, and the FA Cup.
