In August of 2022, Gorillaz announced that they would be releasing their eighth studio album 'Cracker Island' in February 2023. The album will consist of 10 tracks featuring world-famous artists such as Stevie Nicks, Beck, Bad Bunny and Tame Impala.
It will mark the band's first album in three years, with their last record 'Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez' being released back in 2020.
The news of a new album comes just months after the band dropped their new single of the same name with American bass guitarist and singer, Thundercat.
Guitarist Noodle described the new album as “The sound of change and the chorus of the collective” when speaking to DORK radio.
When was Gorillaz last tour?
Gorillaz last tour - simply titled the 'Gorillaz World Tour' - came in 2022. The tour consisted of 58 concerts across North America, South America, Europe and Australia. The first date was in Montenegro on the 28th of April, and the tour ended in Miami, USA on October 23rd of the same year.
The tour only included one date in the UK at All Points East Festival on the 19th of August. The string of concerts came two years after the release of their last studio album, and featured songs from all seven of the Gorillaz back catalogue, with huge hits like 'Clint Eastwood' and 'Feel Good Inc' being played at every show.
Gorillaz seem to have got into the rhythm of touring every couple of years since reuniting in 2017, so the likelihood of a new tour in 2023 to accompany the new album is quite high.
Due to the band only playing one UK festival show last tour, fans will be itching to see the outlandish visuals of the band's animated members accompanied by the fantastic vocals of Blur frontman, Damon Albarn, once again.
Are Gorillaz touring in 2023?

If and when new tour dates are announced, this article will be updated with the latest information.
