England will kick off the year with a January trip to India to play a round of T20 test matches. Full list of dates are as follows:
- January 22: First T20 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata
- January 25: Second T20 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai
- January 28: Third T20 at Niranjan Shah Stadium, Rajkot
- January 31: Fourth T20 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune
- February 2: Fifth T20 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
In February the England cricket team will head to Dubai to play in the ICC Champions Trophy, hosted by Pakistan. The competition is the ninth series of the format and will take place between 19th February and 9th March 2025.
England will start the competition in Group B with Afghanistan, Australia, and South Africa. Group A will see Bangladesh, India, New Zealand and Pakistan compete against each other.
After the group stages the successful teams will move onto knockout semi finals and a final on the 9th March will take place in either Dubai or Lahore.

West Indies Series
On May 29th, the West Indies cricket team is scheduled to start their tour of England with the First One Day International (ODI) match against England at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

June: The ICC World Test Championship Final comes to Lord's
South Africa will take on Australia in the ICC World Test Championship final for the 2023-2025 cycle. This is the first time Lord's cricket ground in St. Johns Wood will host the event.

Domestic Cricket Competitions
The Rothesay County Championship is England and Wales' first-class cricket competition, featuring 18 county teams split into two divisions. Teams play 14 four-day matches per season, with promotion and relegation between divisions based on performance. Points are awarded for wins, draws, and first-innings achievements, with bonus points available for batting and bowling milestones during the first 110 overs of each team’s first innings. The team topping Division One at the season's end is crowned champion, while the bottom teams face relegation, making it a key event in domestic cricket.

Vitality T20 Women's County Cup: First round on May 5
The Vitality T20 Women's County Cup for 2025 features 37 teams from across England and Wales, structured in three tiers.
Tier 1 teams - all fully professional teams enter the cup in Round Three:
