After returning home from the T20 World Cup, the England Men's schedule is packed, against the West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Australia in England.

England Women had a face off with New Zealand in England this summer.

How many matches are England playing in 2024?

The West Indies toured the UK this summer for a series of England cricket test fixtures.

The first of the series was James Anderson's last for England cricket as fans bid him farewell after a stunning 20 year career.

From 10th July until 14th July, England took on the Windies - and won - in a Test match at Lord's.

Then, from 18th July to 21st July, there was another Test match at Trent Bridge, which England also won.

From 26th July to 30th July, there will be a third test match at Edgbaston in Birmingham - which ended with England winning. That means that England won the series 3-0, with fans over the moon at the result.

After the Test matches with the Windies polished off, Sri Lanka will journey over for another series of England test cricket fixtures. They'll start off at the Emirates Old Trafford from 21st August until day five at Lord's on September 2nd.

Then, the battle will continue with a second Test match at the Kia Oval from 6th September until 9th September.

England's summer of cricket will be topped off when they compete against Australia later on in September in two IT20 games, followed by five more one day international (ODI) games.

The England women took on New Zealand in an ODI, followed by two IT20 matches during July.

There's still one more thrilling installment to come for the third match of the England vs Sri Lanka Test match series - due to start at the Kia Oval from 6th September.

England have actually already won the series, as they stormed to victory in the first two Tests, in a strong victory over Sri Lanka.

Although captain Ben Stokes is out of action at the moment due to a hamstring injury, it's not stopped the team from putting on a great performance, with Ollie Pope taking the lead as captain for now.

Former England cricketer Eoin Morgan told Sky Sports News: "When England reflect, they will be hugely optimistic.

"They have played some outstanding cricket so far this summer and they have plans looking ahead to next year against India and the following winter in Australia."
