Deacons Blue’s last tour was their 2021 “Cities of Love” tour, to promote their tenth studio album of the same name. The tour began in November 2021 in Utrecht, Netherlands and concluded on the 19th of December 2021 in the band's hometown of Glasgow.
The Scott's played 33 dates at 29 different venues across the UK, Netherlands and Germany. Including gigs at Resorts World Arena, Birmingham and First Direct Arena, Leeds.
The tour was originally meant to take place in 2020, however, it was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic putting a halt on live performing. The tour was also in support of the band's newest album “Riding the Tide of Love” that they released in 2021.
Are Deacon Blue releasing any new music?
Deacon Blue's last music release was a 2021 mini album titled “Riding the Tide of Love”. The album was released during the COVID-19 pandemic, after the band's scheduled tour was cancelled due to lockdown and social distancing protocols.
The album did not have the same success as their previous 2020 album “City of Love”. Only reaching number 42 on the English charts and dropping out after a week.
There is currently no news on any plans for a new Deacon Blue music release, and with the band about to embark on a 'Greatest Hits' tour, it is unlikely that we will be getting any new material from the Scottish pop rock stars anytime soon.
