Courteeners have announced a huge homecoming gig at Emirates Old Trafford this autumn. The concert, due to take place in Manchester on Saturday 25th September 2021, will mark the band's second time headlining the iconic home of Lancashire County Cricket Club.
The news comes shortly after a billboard with the famous Courteeners lyric, 'God bless the band' and date '25.09.21' was spotted in Manchester city centre.
Back in January 2020, Courteeners released their sixth studio album 'More. Again. Forever'. In the months that followed, a cascade of concert cancellations and postponements were made to help contain the spread of coronavirus. This brought any album tour plans the band may have had to an abrupt halt.
After 12 difficult months of Covid shutdown, the UK Government's roadmap to cautiously ease the reopening of venues could see concerts and tours return from 21st June 2021. UK festival dates are already being announced with Courteeners confirmed as headliners for Glasgow's TRNSMT Festival in July.
With open-air venues paving the way for live music events to take place this summer, there is optimism that normal touring could resume by early autumn.
So, don't miss the chance to see Courteeners live in concert in 2021. Buy official VIP tickets for their show at Old Trafford below.

Courteeners first headline gig at Emirates Old Trafford in 2017 wowed critics and fans alike. Undeterred by the Manchester Arena attack, Liam Fray and co played an emotionally charged set to a home crowd of 50,000. It was more than just a gig, as the Manchester Evening News declared, it was a 'show of solidarity in the face of terror.'
Emirates Old Trafford is a venue typically reserved for the likes of Oasis, Radiohead and Arctic Monkeys, but Courteeners have proved themselves as worthy headliners. When they return for their second homecoming show, it will be in solidarity with those that have faced one of the toughest years in recent memory.
