Brentford Stadium historical information

Brentford Football Club was founded in 1889, driven by the Brentford Local Board’s vision to create a new recreation facility for the town. The club now plays at the Gtech Community Stadium, which officially adopted its name in 2022 for sponsorship purposes. In addition to hosting exciting football matches, the stadium has also been a venue for the 2022 Women’s Euro matches and an international friendly against Australia in 2024.

How to get to Brentford Stadium

To make sure you can enjoy your matchday at Brentford stadium it is recommended to arrive early so you can soak up the matchday atmosphere and avoid delays. 

By bus

To get to Gtech Stadium by bus, routes 110, 237, 267 & N9 all stop at the stadium. 

By train

The closest station to the stadium is Kew Bridge which services South Western Railway trains every 15 minutes on Saturday matchdays. If you are travelling from Central London you can reach Kew Bridge from Waterloo Station. Kew Bridge is not step free. 

Brentford station is located just 1 mile from the stadium and is fully accessible. Chiswick Station is a 30 minute walk from Gtech, so if you fancy a walk before the game we would suggest these options. 

By tube

The district line’s Gunnersbury station is the nearest station to the stadium. On matchdays the station will be extremely busy so please plan your trip accordingly. 

By bike

Brentford encourages travelling by bike on matchdays. There are more than 300 cycle parking spaces available near the stadium. The cycle parking spaces are located in the north-west and east corners of the stadium.

By taxi

There is no official taxi drop off space near the stadium. The closest drop off locations for Brentford stadium would be on Capital Interchange Way. 

By car

Brentford advise against driving to Brentford matches but if you are not able to travel via public transport there are available parking options relatively close the stadium. Please note there are controlled parking zones so you will not be able park on residential streets by the stadium.
