How was Bon Jovi's latest album received?

The band's 16th studio album, 'Forever', was released in June 2024, the first since lead singer Jon Bon Jovi had surgery on his vocal cords. So far, singles 'Legendary' and 'Living Proof' have been released from the album.

The album has had good reviews from critics. Steve Beebee from Kerrang! remarked that the record felt like "an album by an artist who has much to celebrate and nothing left to prove".

Bon Jovi’s last tour was a US tour in April 2022. The tour consisted of 15 concerts across the States.

The band's last full tour, the ‘This House Is Not for Sale World Tour' took place in 2019, in support of their new album of the same name. The band played 31 dates around the globe, including massive gigs in London and Liverpool.

The band originally had a world tour scheduled for 2020 to celebrate their newest album, ‘2020’, but the tour was delayed and then ultimately cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with all fans receiving a refund for their tickets.

Since their 2022 tour, the band haven't hit the road due to Jon Bon Jovi's health issues. However, he's now had surgery on his vocal cords and his voice is back to its best.

Far Out magazine reports that speaking to Boston radio station Mix 104.1, Bon Jovi revealed: “I’m well on the road to recovery. My need, want, desire is to be able to do two-and-a-half hours a night four nights a week for months on end."
