Does blink-182 have a new album?
In 2023, blink-182 released their first new material since the return of Tom DeLonge with ‘One More Time…’.
‘One More Time…’ entered the UK album charts at number 2, facing tough competition from The Rolling Stones.
The album also hit the top 10 in 22 album charts across the world, including the prestigious number 1 spot on the US Billboard 200.
As it stands, there is no word on a follow-up album. However, with the reunion of the classic Blink line-up, and a world-dominating tour currently underway, it would take a brave person to bet against another new album.
‘One More Time…’ released overall positive reviews, receiving an overall rating of 71% on Metacritic’s aggregate scores.
What does the current blink-182 lineup look like?
blink-182 formed in 1992, with the original lineup of Tom DeLonge on vocals and guitar, Mark Hoppus on vocals and bass, and Scott Raynor on drums.
In 1998, Raynor left the band and was replaced by Travis Barker, completing what is widely considered to be the “classic” Blink-182 lineup.
2005 saw the band take a hiatus, before a reunion with the classic lineup in 2009. Following the reunion, DeLonge left the band in 2015 to focus on other career activities, whilst the band continued with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba filling DeLonge’s place, up until the eventual reunion of the classic lineup in 2022 - the same lineup that is touring today.
