The K-pop icons have embarked on a world tour to support their new album, ‘Born Pink’. They will come to the UK for just two dates in 2022, but will be sure to come back in the future.

BLACKPINK have become a global sensation since debuting in 2016, with hits such as ‘How You Like That’ and ‘Pink Venom’.

When did BLACKPINK last release new music?

BLACKPINK’s newest album, ‘Born Pink’, was released on 16th September. It’s their second studio album and their first full-length record since 2020's, ‘The Album’.

In the months leading up to the release, the group released a number of singles that would feature on the album, and also performed a virtual in-game concert at PUBG Mobile in July, where they performed ‘Ready For Love’, the first song from ‘Born Pink’.

‘Pink Venom’, the most popular song from the album, was released as a pre-release single on 19th August. It was a taste of what was to come from BLACKPINK and fans loved it.

It topped the Billboard Global 200 chart for two weeks, making it the first number-one by a female K-pop act, as well as the first Korean song, to top the charts for multiple weeks.

11 days later, they performed the song at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, becoming the first female K-pop group in history to perform at the show. They also won the award for Best Metaverse Performance.

When did BLACKPINK last tour?

The "Biggest girl group in the world" are currently out on their 'Born Pink World Tour', which started in October 2022 and is planned to end in June 2023.

They completed their UK dates on 30th November & 1st December 2022, performing two sold-out shows at the London O2 Arena.

When is BLACKPINK coming to the UK?

BLACKPINK have no further tour plans past the end date of the current one.

It is likely that when the group finish the 'Born Pink World Tour', they will begin work on a new album shortly after.

The 'Boombayah' singers have only produced two studio albums, in 2020 and 2022, and have three Extended Plays (EP's) to their name, which came before the studio albums.

It is possible that a new album won't come until the end of 2023/ 2024, which would mean a tour with dates in the UK probably won't be planned until 2024.
