Beyoncé’s Live Performances

5. The Dangerously In Love Tour (2003)

Beyoncé’s Dangerously In Love tour was her first tour as a solo artist. She debuted the songs from her first album of the same name, and even had a segment where she paid homage to her time in girl group Destiny’s Child.

Unusually, even though this was Beyoncé’s big debut on the stage, the tour only made it to the UK, Ireland, and The Netherlands. The set list had all her early bangers though, including “Dangerously In Love 2,” “Baby Boy,” “Say My Name,” and “Crazy In Love” as the encore.

4. The I Am… Tour (2009-2010)

The I Am… tour had a much more intricate concept and budget, reminiscent of Beyoncé’s more recent concert tours. The tour was in support of the iconic I Am… Sasha Fierce album released in 2008 and is one of her most theatrical. She shows off her dual personas: the ‘real’ Beyoncé and her confident, sexy alter ego, Sasha Fierce.

The show even had two different stages that Beyoncé would switch between throughout the performance, complete with glamorous outfits and a ten-member, all-female band, The Sugar Mamas. Fashion designer Thierry Mugler served as the costume designer for the tour, creating iconic looks that channelled the vibe of a feminine, high-tech warrior woman.

3. The Formation World Tour (2016)

The Formation World Tour was in support of Beyoncé’s sixth studio album, Lemonade. Surprisingly, this was Bey’s first all-stadium tour and the first stadium tour ever by a female artist. It seems that with every concert tour, Beyoncé finds a way to break a new record and pave the way.

In true crazy Beyoncé style, the stage had a 60-foot tall rotating LED cuboid called the ‘Monolith,’ a treadmill runway, and a secondary stage that produced 2,000 gallons of water. If that sounds incredible to you and you’d love to witness Beyoncé’s next tour, register your interest now for VIP tickets.

2. The On the Run II Tour (2018)

On The Run II was a collaboration tour between Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z. When performing together they’re known as The Carters, and the overall storyline of the show was their love story as a couple. The setlist had a mixture of songs from both artists’ discographies, including songs they both feature on.

The tour stood to prove just how dominant and powerful Beyoncé and Jay-Z are in the music industry, as the tour was the third-highest selling of the year, selling 2.1 million tickets. The Carters’ Everything Is Love album had been recently released, and the importance of love encapsulates the theme of the tour.

1. The Renaissance World Tour (2023)

The Renaissance tour has been one of Beyoncé’s biggest and most high-concept tours yet. The staging was like a futuristic nightclub, with robotic arms, mannequin horses, metallic tanks and pyrotechnics. Equally as amazing were Beyoncé’s costumes, where she wore a plethora of metallic, bejewelled outfits by notable designers like Alexander McQueen, Thierry Mugler, and Balmain.

Beyoncé performed songs from the Renaissance album interspersed with hits from across her discography. It was theatrical and fun, with audience participation that made fans feel like part of the show. Beyoncé visited Europe and North America with the tour, including five nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Will there be a Cowboy Carter Tour?

As of right now, Beyoncé has not yet officially announced a tour to support her most recent album, Cowboy Carter. However, fans think her next tour could be coming in 2025. A cryptic video posted to Bey’s Instagram shared the date “1.14.25,” and fans think it could be the announcement date for her next world tour.
