Part of the European Tour, the Irish Open golf championship has been running since 1927. It lapsed during the Second World War, but was revived in its current form in 1975.
In the past, it has welcomed superstars in the world of golf, such as Rory McIlroy and Colin Montgomerie. Last year, Sweden's Vincent Norrman won the competition.
This year will be no different, with a huge lineup of golf legends due to take part, including McIlroy who will be putting on his home turf.
When is the Irish Open 2024?
This year, the Irish Open will take place between 12th to 15th September.
Where is the Irish Open taking place?
The tournament often moves location between different courses in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
This year it will take place at the Royal County Down Golf Club in Northern Ireland, which is one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world.
